Meet our Lakewood Leaders
President: Judy Ellis. Judy and her husband, Jack, an artist, settled in Lakewood in
1980. She is a former English teacher and a retired paralegal who now spends her time volunteering for Gulf
Coast Legal Services, the

Vice President/Crime Coordinator, pro
tem: Dennis Coley. Dennis is a native St. Petersburghian, second
generation,who has lived in Lakewood for 8 years. He is a long-time City
employee and a 25-year-member of the Calvary Chapel Church, where he
serves as an Elder. Dennis is the son of
a
St. Petersburg police officer and spent much of his career working
with the Police fleet. He is married to wife, Kim, for 19 years and has
two daughters.

Secretary: Patsy Wedding. Patsy has
lived in Lakewood for seven years and has been active with Neighborhood
(Crime) Watch for six of those years. She works part-time for Boley Centers and
has served on the board of the Friends of Boyd Hill for seven years.
Patsy is also President of the Florida State USBCY, has worked with youth bowlers for over 40 years, and is Association Manager for

Roy took early
retirement from
American Airlines, having served as a Vice President in the data
processing division. After moving to Florida in 1998, Roy obtained a license
to sell real estate, and is currently an agent with Charles Rutenberg Realty,
Inc. Roy was president of his homeowners' association in
North Redington Beach, prior to moving to Lakewood in 2005.

Director: Tom Doyle. Tom moved to Florida in 2003 upon accepting his
current position as Chief Learning Officer for Medical Education Technologies,
Inc. Tom fell in love with Lakewood Estates immediately upon being driven
through the area by his realtor. Tom has been in healthcare for nearly 30
years as a Registered Nurse responsible for patient care, hospital Chief
Nursing Officer, and a Professor of Nursing. Tom was actively involved in his
homeowner association in a historic neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio for over 5
years, serving on many committees.
Honorary Director: Libby Steele. Libby came to St. Petersburg in 1953 and graduated with honors from the Mound Park Nursing Program and
St. Petersburg Junior College in 1956. She was the first and for a while the only American Red Cross Certified cardiac RN at Bayfront
Medical Center. Libby and her sister purchased their home in Lakewood Estates in 1963, when many streets here were not paved. She has
lavishly volunteered her time and energy to keep Lakewood looking its best, has served as a block captain with the Neighborhood
Watch, was a vice president of the Civic Association for seven years and treasurer of CONA for six years.
